About the event
Domestic and family violence (DFV) can take many forms, and it isn’t always easy to recognise. From coercive control and financial abuse to knowing how to respond when someone you care about shares their experience, understanding the signs can make a real difference.
This forum will bring women together for practical, down-to-earth conversations in a welcoming, small-group setting. Through hypothetical scenarios and insights from local support services, we’ll explore how to recognise abuse, respond with care and understand where to turn for help.
Whether you’re a mother, sister, daughter, friend, colleague or simply someone who wants to better understand domestic and family violence, this forum is an opportunity to build your knowledge and confidence.
You don’t need to be an expert to make a difference. Sometimes, knowing what to look for, what to say and where to go can be the first step towards helping someone find support.
